About Us
Bristol and West Hockey Club was formed in the spring of 2008 from a merger of two clubs, North Bristol and West Gloucestershire.
In 2008-9 we will run 8 senior teams playing in various divisions of the Wales and West Men’s League, ranging from Premier Division 2 to Bristol and North West Somerset Division 3. As well as our various league teams, we have a strong Veterans group and also a vibrant junior section.
Our main hockey aims are:
- for our 1s to gain promotion to the top regional division and then challenge higher
- that we become the Club of choice for Veteran and Vintage players based in our region who wish to continue to play and enjoy hockey whether socially or competitively
- to further build our youth section and enable more young players to make a successful transition into senior hockey
- to continue to offer hockey opportunities to suit players, prospective players and returning players of all ages, abilities, and levels of ambition.
