Bristol & West Hockey Club Day – Join Us This Weekend!

We’re kicking off the new season with our annual Bristol & West Hockey Club Day on Saturday 6th September 2025 at Mangotsfield School – and everyone’s invited!

Whether you’re already part of the club, new to the area, or just curious about trying hockey for the first time, this is the perfect day to get involved.

It’s a relaxed and friendly event with plenty going on both on and off the pitch. Bring your friends, family, and anyone who fancies giving hockey a go – the more, the merrier.

What’s happening on the day

• 10:00 – Pitch open

• 10:15 – First game

• 12:00 – BBQ

• 14:30 – Head to Cleve RFC to watch their first game of the season

There’ll also be an all-day bake sale packed with homemade goodies, so you’ll have no excuse not to refuel between matches!

A day for everyone

Club Day is all about coming together. It’s a great chance for current members to catch up after the summer break, for juniors and adults to mix on the pitch, and for new faces to discover what makes our club so special.

If you’ve ever thought about picking up a stick, returning to hockey after a break, or simply fancy a sociable day out, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible – and don’t forget to bring a friend along too. The more people we introduce to hockey, the stronger our club becomes.

When the games end at 2pm we'll be heading to Cleve Rugby Club for a sociable catch-up and to watch Cleve's first game of the season.
