Vixens claim point in season opener

Despite the ominous looking rain clouds and the nerves of a first ever Vixens match, what a game! The girls played fantastically well, putting their passing skills to the test, working hard as a team and out-foxing the Bath Buccs side who had lots of subs and energy!

Bristol & West Jaspers Vixens took the early initiative with a first quarter goal, but the lead didn’t last long as an unlucky equaliser slipped past the Vixens defence shortly after. They battled until the end and applied sustained pressure upon the Buccs defence, but unfortunately couldn’t find the back of the net. A great result for the first time these girls have played together and a promising start to an exciting season.

Bristol & West Jaspers are proud to be participating in the inaugural Avon Vixens Hockey League. This is a fantastic opportunity for women and girls to play competitive hockey to develop their skills and be part of our team.

With fixtures on Sundays allowing up to 5 adults to join in, it provides the perfect opportunity for women to get back into hockey as well as a platform for our juniors to make the transition into our growing women's hockey teams.
