Women's 2s Captain - Ella Alcott
Massive congrats to the Ladies 2s who absolutely smashed the season. We set ourselves the goal of getting promoted this season (having come close last time around) but I could only have wished for the level of effort and commitment that everyone put in this season to win the league!
This last half of the campaign has seen some amazing team effort and games and our short corners have come a long way. We scored some fab goals and worked together so well to play smarter and harder than ever before.
The team put in some amazing performances against strong opposition to secure the league before Easter. A 1-0 midweek win under the lights against promotion chasing Dursley was enough to put us out of reach. But we wanted to finish the season in style by winning our final 2 matches. A home win against Yate and a 5-0 away victory at Wick ensured that we finished the season unbeaten! An amazing achievement.
